This week’s podcast continues where we left off last week. A Study in Scarlett is separated into two different parts. Last week, we looked at part one. This week, we look at part two. We start with the passages which outline the events which take place in America and affect the London events which we looked at last week. Then we begin listening to some of Holmes’ descriptions of his deductions. Join us for some amazing descriptions of the American western landscape and some exciting events. There is also a couple bits of trivia about books and reading.

Have you ever felt like you were “destined” to do something special? Today, you get to meet six people who are just that –
This week features the last of the recasts. We look back to a very early podcast with a lot of imagination. How about an interview with Ebeneezer Scrooge? You remember Scrooge! He’s the curmudgeon whose greed and avarice hardened his heard against all mankind. But, he’s visited by three spirits who change his heart and, thus, his actions. What if you could hear from him now? I take a stab at this possibility by imagining an interview with the reformed Scrooge!

If you listened last week, you know that we are going to feature some older podcasts as “re-casts” for the next four weeks while I move and re-build my studio in a new home. This week’s re-cast features my friend and author, Becky Wooley. As a minister’s wife and church secretary, she has the inside scoop on how churches run. And she has taken that information and some great imagination to write the clerical crime novel, Non-Prophet Murders. Grit along with three pastors find themselves the target of a killer. Can Grit and his girlfriend, Grace, find the killer before he or she strikes again! Full of humor, satire, and some scary moments, Non-Prophet Murders keeps you guessing “who-dun-it.” Listen and find out how she does it!
This week’s podcast is the first of three podcasts featuring books by author Michael Miller. This week’s book, The Sixth Lobe, is the first of two telling Danny Wilson’s story. In this book, we meet 10 year old Danny and discover that he has an additional lobe in his brain. With this lobe, he is able to read the sub-conscious thoughts of those around him. This presents problems for the child; while some adults with nefarious goals decide that this is a useful ability to tap into. This conflict leads to an amazing climax. Listen to some samples from this book in this podcast. (Next week, we’ll meet the adult Danny.)
My 50th podcast features the first author who entrusted me with a book for production, Regina Puckett. I interviewed her to talk about her about her award winning books, writing, her future projects, and the Warren Family. The Warren Family?
