We continue looking at the book of Ephesians by studying the second part of chapter one. As Paul discusses the key to unlocking the spiritual blessing we talked about in the first study, we find that the key may not be a popular one. In fact, it can be down-right unpopular — but necessary. Are you willing to do the unpopular?
I also play an extended excerpt from a recently released audio book, The Swaddling Clothes by Amber Schamel. This is great historical fiction tracing a history of God’s people from King David to the time of the birth of Christ, focusing on the Swaddling Clothes which ultimately covered the baby Jesus.
There are two new titles now on Audible.com and in the iTunes store from Narration by George today.
Avatars of Websurferis now available for download at both Audible.com and from the iTunes store. You can find links to both on my web-site (see below). I play you a teaser for this book. Take a listen and find out how to get this book for FREE!
The Swaddling Clothes is also now available at Audible. com and the iTunes store. Today we spend some time talking about swaddling and what it might mean to those shepherds who were looking for the “sign” of the baby in a manger in swaddling clothes. Then we sample Amber Schamel’s book with lots of excerpts. I even have a give-away for you. Take a listen to find out how to get your free copy of this great listen.
Sometimes, life just interferes with the best laid plans for the week, doesn’t it? This week has been that way. I have taken on the duties of a tax preparer (I used to work for the IRS). In getting up to speed for those duties, I don’t have the physical time to complete a podcast this week. So, I’m declaring a one-week hiatus! Check back next week as we take a look at a re-release of another book, The Swaddling Clothes. This book is currently available for download at CD Baby and will soon come to audible.com and the iTunes store. Maybe next week, I can announce that this book and another have dropped into the audible library! Check back then! See you on Wednesday!!!
This week, I take most of the podcast to re-tell the Christmas Story – that miraculous event which brought the world the Savior we all need. Not only do we hear the story, but I share music which is appropriate for the events of the story.
We also share a new question for our Holiday Giftaway. Correctly answer the question about the story of Christmas, and you’ll get to download a free audio book! What a deal!

We continue our Holiday GiftAway this month with another chance for you to win the audio book of your choice from the Narration by George library. Answer this week’s trivia question about story of the birth of Jesus, and you might be one of the ten winners this week.
We have favorite Christmas songs and favorite Christmas movies. Do you have a favorite Christmas book? This week’s podcast features three Christmas audio books. One of them may become a favorite for you. Listen to the samples. Then listen for the story of this week’s Christmas Carol: “Go Tell It On the Mountain.”
This week features the last of the recasts. We look back to a very early podcast with a lot of imagination. How about an interview with Ebeneezer Scrooge? You remember Scrooge! He’s the curmudgeon whose greed and avarice hardened his heard against all mankind. But, he’s visited by three spirits who change his heart and, thus, his actions. What if you could hear from him now? I take a stab at this possibility by imagining an interview with the reformed Scrooge!
Yes, this podcast was originally a “Christmas season” episode. However, this story is really not about Christmas; it is about redemption. And redemption is a universal theme good at any time of the year. So, my production of A Christmas Carol is available for sale year ’round. Go to my page for the book and listen to some samples.
This week, we go back to the world of spiritual ideas to talk about “blessings.” Each week, I end this podcast with an exhortation to “share you blessings with someone else.” The question is, “What are our blessings?” Are they the things we have? The people we know? The life we lead? Jesus tells us about blessings and this lesson from my home church talks about those definitions in the context of Jesus’ birth.
It’s two days before Christmas as I write this. The season of giving, receiving, family, friends, fellowship, and food is upon us. But, will we take time to remember the reason for this season? Will we take time – individually and corporately – to celebrate, to contemplate, to remember the One who gave us the most important gift of all? “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.” (John 3:16, The Message) This podcast celebrates this gift in words and music. Enjoy!

The Wells Fargo Express Series – Volume 1 – The Desperate Road
Faith and the Law-Ambush
This week’s podcast looks at four books from two very different genres. For the ladies, there is the sweet romance series by Regina Puckett, The Warren Family. This features two books, Concealed in My Heartand Songs That I Whisper. For the guys, there are two westerns. From Remington Colt’s Wells Fargo Series, Murray Pura pens The Desperate Road. James Griffin has written Faith and the Law: Ambush. Both books feature great characters and exciting action. You’ll hear samples from all these books as well as a look at a traditional Christmas Carol. And don’t forget that my Holiday Give-Away is in full swing – right through New Year’s Day!
