You may be wondering, “What’s happened to the Narration by George Podcast?” Well, this is to update you on what’s happening here at Narration by George.
The podcast has returned in it’s new & improved format. (I know that’s a cliché. There’s just no better way to say it!) Just look at what we’re doing in the new episodes:
- Totally refocused. This podcast will focus only on telling the story of Jesus. That’s it! As such, it will have a new name: Jesus Stories.
- Shorter. Only 15 minutes long to make it easier to fit into your schedule each week.
- Bi-Weekly. We will restart with a new podcast every other Sunday!
- New Web-Site. Check out the brand new web-site for this podcast, Jesus Stories.
Wow! Those are a lot of changes! I invite you to check out the new web-site for the new podcast and like, subscribe and share!
Along with the new podcast, we’ll feature an audio book each episode.

We continue looking at the book of Ephesians by studying the second part of chapter one. As Paul discusses the key to unlocking the spiritual blessing we talked about in the first study, we find that the key may not be a popular one. In fact, it can be down-right unpopular — but necessary. Are you willing to do the unpopular?

We continue our Holiday GiftAway this month with another chance for you to win the audio book of your choice from the Narration by George library. Answer this week’s trivia question about story of the birth of Jesus, and you might be one of the ten winners this week.
We have favorite Christmas songs and favorite Christmas movies. Do you have a favorite Christmas book? This week’s podcast features three Christmas audio books. One of them may become a favorite for you. Listen to the samples. Then listen for the story of this week’s Christmas Carol: “Go Tell It On the Mountain.”
This week features the last of the recasts. We look back to a very early podcast with a lot of imagination. How about an interview with Ebeneezer Scrooge? You remember Scrooge! He’s the curmudgeon whose greed and avarice hardened his heard against all mankind. But, he’s visited by three spirits who change his heart and, thus, his actions. What if you could hear from him now? I take a stab at this possibility by imagining an interview with the reformed Scrooge!
This week, we go back to the world of spiritual ideas to talk about “blessings.” Each week, I end this podcast with an exhortation to “share you blessings with someone else.” The question is, “What are our blessings?” Are they the things we have? The people we know? The life we lead? Jesus tells us about blessings and this lesson from my home church talks about those definitions in the context of Jesus’ birth.
It’s two days before Christmas as I write this. The season of giving, receiving, family, friends, fellowship, and food is upon us. But, will we take time to remember the reason for this season? Will we take time – individually and corporately – to celebrate, to contemplate, to remember the One who gave us the most important gift of all?
