#98 – Spiritual Ideas: Ephesians, part 3

We continue our examination of the book of Ephesians by reviewing the second chapter of the book.  Paul starts by reminding all of us where we have been and then reminding us of what God has done for us in Jesus.  That the God who is rich in mercy and love has given us who were dead, life.  And He did it “all on his own, with no help from us!”  Furthermore, he brings all of us together in Jesus Christ — the great uniter — to make us all part of the house of God.

We also take a look at an older release from Narration by George.  Seasons of Change features a protagonist who uses Godly principles to lead a people out of the danger of slavery to a life of freedom.

#92-Avatars of WebSurfer #1

This is the first of two weeks that we’ll spend sampling the latest offering from Narration by George.  Avatars of Websurfer is a compilation of 10 stories by four different authors about the world of Websurfer.  Websurfer controls most of the computers in the world through an Artificial Intelligence named Sander.  But, Sander is more than an AI; he’s also human.  And he longs to break from the chains which bind him to his users in ways that are not to his liking.  Take a listen to samples of the first five stories from this book.  We’ll look at the next five next week.

Game CoverUh-oh!  This podcast was taken over by a pirate.  Captain Cleytus Pitcher IV captured the microphone and tied me up so that I couldn’t speak to you this week.  He still shared the new stuff that’s coming Payback coverAmazon coverto Narration by George.  So, that’s good.  There are two short horror tales by Regina Puckett – Do You Want to Play a Game? (just released today) and Payback.  And there is the new Science Fiction epic, Second Earth M-104 by Michael Miller.  (The Captain just doesn’t get Sci-Fi!)  In the end, I was able to get the police involved and now he’s spending the night in jail. But, he’s still on the look-out for his treasure!

#76-Other Worldly Tales #3

Knighthawke-NEW-WEB-ICONKNIGHTHAWKE--VS-NEW-WEB-ICOWe’ve been looking at tales where the setting is an “other worldly” one.  But, what if our main character is “other worldly” and set in our modern day world.  We take a look at such a character today known as “Knighthawke”.  Author Jerry Minchew created Knighthawke as the main character for the book bearing his name and the sequel, Knighthawke: Vanishing Shadows.  Michael is an ordinary young man with ordinary aspirations who is caught in an unbelievable set of events which make him over into an “other-worldly” character.  Take a listen to some samples in today’s podcast!

#73-Of Science & Science Fiction

Amazon coverI’m in the midst of narration and production of the latest science fiction novel by Michael Miller, Second Earth, M-104. This is the third in a series of books about an alien who wishes to destroy earth and the scientists who are battling to keep earth alive.  This battle takes a lot of technology – some of it “other worldly”.  Michael takes the time to share some of this technology with us and how he thinks it might work.

I share Michael Millera sample from the book as well as the author’s comments about writing in this genre and the research which goes into the writing of this exciting book.

#68-Books That Go Together #3

The-Sixth-Lobe-NEW-WEB-ICONWe continue sampling from Books That Go Together; stories and characters that are sooo good that they cannot be told in one novel.  Today, we start looking at the two book story of Danny Wilson in The Sixth Lobe and Born to Matter by Michael Miller.

In The Sixth Lobe we meet Danny and discover his condition – an extra lobe in his brain that allows him to read other people’s subconscious thoughts.  This is a problem for young Danny; an opportunity for the adult Danny; and it creates interest from several parties as his abilities are discovered.  How does he handle this situation?

#67 – Books That Go Together #2

Knighthawke-NEW-WEB-ICONKNIGHTHAWKE--VS-NEW-WEB-ICOWe continue looking at books-that-go-together by sampling more from the Knighthawke series.  Remember, books that go together are stories and characters that are so good that they cannot be confined to one novel.  It takes multiples.  The Knighthawke series is just one of the ones I’ve recorded.

Knighthawke tells the story of an American hero, Michael Webber.  In the second book, Knighthawke: Vanishing Shadows, Michael continues his quest for his identity and taking on missions for the Air Force, many involving international intrigue.  Michael continues with his one mission – find his family.
