This week’s podcast offers a special surprise. Two weeks ago, we talked about my impressions of the Hear Now Festival for 2015. But, I had no audio clips that were actually a part of the 2015 Festival. Those clips are now available. So, I’m using this week’s podcast to share two of the best radio plays that I heard during the festival. We start with the award winning When Johnny Comes Marching Home and close with a short comedy sketch based on the War of the Worlds in honor of Orson Welles’ birthday.
My friend, Becky Wooley, has written a murder mystery/clerical crime/satire called Non-Prophet Murders which is full of spiritual ideas. While making you scratch your head trying to figure out “who-dun-it”, Becky challenges you to think about the Church and your beliefs and allows you to laugh, too. How does she do it? Well, you have to listen to the podcast to find out!!
