#90-The Christmas Story & the Holiday Giftaway

This week, I take most of the podcast to re-tell the Christmas Story – that miraculous event which brought the world the Savior we all need.  Not only do we hear the story, but I share music which is appropriate for the events of the story.

We also share a new question for our Holiday Giftaway.  Correctly answer the question about the story of Christmas, and you’ll get to download a free audio book!  What a deal!

#58-ReCast: An Interview with Ebeneezer Scrooge

ACC 1-Scrooge DescriptionsThis week features the last of the recasts.  We look back to a very early podcast with a lot of imagination.  How about an interview with Ebeneezer Scrooge?  You remember Scrooge!  He’s the curmudgeon whose greed and avarice hardened his heard against all mankind.  But, he’s visited by three spirits who change his heart and, thus, his actions.  What if you could hear from him now?  I take a stab at this possibility by imagining an interview with the reformed Scrooge!

Yes, this podcast was originally a “Christmas season” episode. However, this story is really not about Christmas; it is about redemption.  And redemption is a universal theme good at any time of the year.  So, my production of A Christmas Carol is available for sale year ’round.  Go to my page for the book and listen to some samples.

#56-Recast – Looking Back, Looking Forward

As the moving and rebuild of the Narration by George studio progresses, we look back at some popular podcasts that have been presented and maybe one you’ve been missed.  This is a retrospective episode that was presented at the first of this year.  I reviewed some titles that are available and some of the distribution issues that we are still facing.  I also looked forward to new distribution channels and new authors.  And I start with an interview with new author Donna Patton.  Take a listen!

P.S. Have you checked out my newest offerings? The Destined and A Study in Scarlet are now available on CD Baby, Audible.com, and in the I-Tunes store.  Click on the title for more info or go to narrationbygeorge.com/books.

#53-The Passion, Crucifixion, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ

0411091740_0001Since this is Holy Week in the Christian calendar, I have produced a narrative of the events of Holy Week – from the arrest of Jesus through the resurrection – based totally on the Scriptures.  Rather than rely on just one of the Gospel narratives, I have meshed the four narratives together in one cogent story.  I pray that you are blessed by this telling of these important events – the most important events in all of history!

#43-Looking Back, Looking Forward

2015 and 2016 year written on sandy beach sea. Wave washes away 2015. The concept of 2015 is gone, come the new year 2016.

CoverFor the opening of any new year, looking back and looking forward in assessment is always interesting.  Looking back, we see the accomplishments and failures of the year.  And we look forward in wonderful expectation of what the new year will hold.  So, it is with Narration by George.  I look back at the titles that are available.  I look forward to new distribution channels and new authors.  And I start with an interview with author Donna Patton.  Take a listen!

#42-The Story of Christmas

birth-of-jesusIt’s two days before Christmas as I write this.  The season of giving, receiving, family, friends, fellowship, and food is upon us.  But, will we take time to remember the reason for this season?  Will we take time – individually and corporately – to celebrate, to contemplate, to remember the One who gave us the most important gift of all?  “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son.  And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.  God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was.  He came to help, to put the world right again.” (John 3:16, The Message)  This podcast celebrates this gift in words and music.  Enjoy!
